Our Story

ReFramed was born from a simple realization: the eyewear industry generates enormous waste, while the technology behind premium lenses remains accessible to only a few large corporations. We set out to change that.

ReFramed is a joint venture between a high-end optical laboratory in the USA, a lens manufacturing facility that uses the same technology as the world's top eyewear brands, and two industry veterans with over 15 years of experience in premium optics.

We know the exact materials used by the most expensive brands to manufacture their lenses and frames -- because we work with the same suppliers and the same processes. The difference is our mission: we channel that expertise into a more sustainable, more accessible model.

Our Mission: A Circular Economy for Eyewear

Every year, millions of perfectly good frames are discarded simply because the lenses need updating. That is a massive waste of materials, energy, and money. ReFramed was founded to build a company specialized in the circular economy -- maximizing sustainability by preventing frames from ending up in landfills, while maintaining the visual quality you expect from a premium brand.

Our Technology

Our lenses are manufactured using the same technology, coatings, and materials trusted by the world's leading eyewear brands. From precision-cut blanks to advanced anti-reflective and hydrophobic coatings, every lens meets the standards you would expect from a premium optical product.

The difference is that we have eliminated the brand markup. By operating our own labs and working directly with top-tier material suppliers, we deliver premium quality at a fraction of the traditional retail price -- without compromising on performance.

We offer more than just lenses. With ReFramed Full Service, we take care of everything so you do not have to.

Prefer to do it yourself? You can also purchase lenses only and install them at home or with your local optician.

ReFramed Full Service is currently available in Chile. Customers in the USA can purchase lenses for self-installation, with full service launching soon.

Our Labs

ReFramed operates optical laboratories in the USA, Chile, and the UK. This international presence allows us to serve customers across multiple markets with shorter lead times and localized support, while maintaining consistent quality standards across every location.
